Thousands celebrate McDonald’s Philippines’ first-ever FryFest with unlimited fries nationwide

Thousands of Filipino fans gathered to enjoy unlimited fries and fun activities during McDonald’s Philippines’ biggest Fries celebration yet—its first-ever McDo FryFest—held on September 4. Taking place simultaneously in over 50 branches nationwide, the event drew together a community of Fries lovers for an unforgettable day centered on McDonald’s World Famous Fries.

The FryFest capped off months of fries-filled festivities that began on July 10, National Fries Day, when McDonald’s offered its signature BFF Fries at a special P99 promo. The celebration continued each week with “FryDay” deals, turning every Friday into an occasion for fans to share and enjoy their favorite fries.

The first-ever unlimited fries experience, McDo FryFest, was more than just about the food—it was about building a community of fans who share a passion for the iconic snack. Attendees not only enjoyed bottomless servings of fries but also participated in games and activities and took home a limited-edition fries pouch with a wrist strap.

“We are thankful to everyone who celebrated our World Famous Fries during National Fries Day and every FryDay that followed,” said Ada Almendras-Lazaro, McDonald’s Philippines Chief Marketing Officer. “FryFest is our way of bringing together the community of Pinoy Fries fans who have continuously shown their love for our World Famous Fries. We wanted to create a fun and memorable experience that celebrates not only the product but also the people who have made it a favorite through the years.”

The event was designed to tap into the deep emotional connection that many Filipinos have with McDonald’s fries. Straight-cut from whole potatoes, deep-fried, and perfectly salted, McDonald’s World Famous Fries has become a staple for snacking and sharing among generations of Filipinos.

“The emotional connection of our Fries to generations of Pinoys is built not just with how good it is but how it has been part of moments and memories that fans and customers cherish,” Almendras-Lazaro added.

Throughout the celebration, McDonald’s Philippines saw fans coming together not only for the fries but also for the memories and sense of community the event fostered. The success of FryFest highlights the enduring appeal of the World Famous Fries as a menu favorite.

As McDonald’s Philippines wraps up its biggest fries celebration yet, fans can continue to enjoy their favorite fries nationwide—whether through dine-in, takeout, drive-thru, McDelivery, or third-party delivery apps—creating more feel-good moments with every bite.
