The Script, the award-winning Irish band known for their chart-topping hits, has announced a third and final show for their MAN IN THE ARENA TOUR in Manila. The new concert is scheduled for March 20, 2027, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, following the sold-out success of their first two shows on March 18 and 19. This tour is presented by Wilbros Live and Midas Promotions. Tickets for the newly added date will be available starting June 13 at 10 AM through SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets nationwide.
The announcement follows frontman Danny O’Donoghue’s visit to Manila, where he personally met with Filipino fans and promoted the upcoming tour. During his stay, Danny also filmed a special performance of “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” on the streets of Manila, bringing new life to one of the band’s most loved songs right in the heart of the city.
The MAN IN THE ARENA TOUR will include The Script’s greatest hits such as “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Hall of Fame,” “Breakeven,” “Superheroes,” “For The First Time,” and “If You Could See Me Now.” Fans can also look forward to new music from the band’s upcoming album, ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human,’ set for release on August 14, 2026.
The new album follows 2024’s ‘Satellites’ and reflects Danny O’Donoghue’s journey through grief after the passing of bandmate Mark Sheehan in 2023. That loss influenced the band’s recent music and inspired them to honor Mark at every show during their last world tour.
The title track, “Man In The Arena,” takes inspiration from a famous speech by Theodore Roosevelt, focusing on the courage it takes to step forward and face life’s challenges, rather than staying on the sidelines. Danny shared that the message behind the song is about recognizing the bravery of those who try and persevere, even when things get tough.
In interviews, Danny O’Donoghue has expressed his deep appreciation for Filipino fans. “The Philippines means a lot to us,” he shared. “We are trying to get bigger and better over here every time. We love this place. We feel at home a lot here.” He also praised the unique experience of performing in the Philippines, joking that Filipino audiences sing in tune like a choir and describing the energy as unmatched.
With the third show added, more fans will have the chance to experience The Script live in Manila. The band’s connection to the country continues to grow, and their upcoming concerts are expected to be memorable celebrations of music, resilience, and community.
