Villars join the Michelin buzz, visit Butcher Boy in Alabang West Parade

Senator Camile Villar treated her parents, former Senate President Manny Villar and former Senator Cynthia Villar, to a special meal at Butcher Boy, the newly recognized Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee located along Daang Hari Road, Alabang West Parade. The restaurant is the first in the Las PiƱas and Muntinlupa corridor to receive such recognition, marking a milestone for the area’s upscale dining scene.

The Villars, known for spearheading significant property developments in the Daang Hari corridor—including Evia Lifestyle Center, Portofino Heights, Brittany Homes, and Villar City—visited Butcher Boy after its recent elevation from Michelin Selected status to Bib Gourmand Awardee. This award, granted to just 30 restaurants nationwide, honors establishments that deliver both food excellence and value for money.

The Michelin awarding ceremony, held on October 29, 2026, at the Manila Marriott Hotel, was attended by dignitaries including President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Lisa Araneta Marcos. Butcher Boy Philippines CEO Dino R. Chua accepted the prestigious accolade on behalf of the team.

Butcher Boy, founded in 2017 by Michelin-starred Chef Andrew Walsh, quickly established itself with a menu that combines Asian fusion flavors and premium steaks, inspired by Singapore’s Keong Saik Road dining district. Popular dishes include Laksa Dumplings, Fried Baby Squid, Mini Bun Samplers, Beef Bo Sam, Butcher’s Rib-Eye Steak, and Sticky Pork Adobo Bao.

“This recognition is entirely for our team and our guests who have supported us along the way,” said Chua. “Winning a Bib Gourmand proves that you don’t need to sacrifice quality or creativity to deliver great value. The fire in the kitchen is burning brighter than ever, and we’re just getting started.”
