Highland Bali’s Cleofe Rodriguez brings dream to life as first-time film producer and actress in ‘Pamana’
Businesswoman Cleofe Rodriguez is stepping into the spotlight as a first-time producer and actress with the upcoming romance-comedy-suspense film 'Pamana.' Co-starring an ensemble cast that includes Herlene Budol, Gil Cuerva, Janice de Belen, Ashley Ortega, Paolo Gumabao, Petite, Negi, Jelai Andres, Kakai Bautista, and Zara Lopez, the film is directed by Rommel Penesa and will premiere soon on digital platforms.
The film tells the intriguing story of Kimmy Reyes, a wealthy resort heiress whose wedding day turns sinister when she discovers her husband’s deadly plot for her inheritance. Given a second chance, Kimmy must outsmart her would-be killer, unravel a decades-old conspiracy, and learn to trust a mysterious ally before it’s too late.
As ‘Pamana’ gears up for its digital release on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, Direk Rommel shared his team’s strategy to connect with new-generation viewers: “We’re casting talents with strong followings to help with promotion. We’ll also intensify posting teasers on digital platforms to inform and excite more audiences about the film.”
Rodriguez, who plays Delia—the general manager of Highland Bali, where much of the film was shot—describes her character as multifaceted: “She’s kind, sometimes nosy, and occasionally has a bad side.” For Rodriguez, also known as Tita Geng, producing and acting in a film is a long-held dream. “Since childhood, I’ve always wanted to be an actress. Now, an opportunity opened up and I grabbed it,” she said.
On her decision to move into film, Rodriguez explained, “As a first-time producer, it feels amazing—like a new opportunity has opened up for me. If God allows this opportunity, I believe more will follow, and all our businesses will benefit too. That’s our number one goal.”
‘Pamana’ stands out for its high-stakes, time-loop thriller plot, blended with a message about the destructive nature of greed and the enduring value of human connection. The story follows Kimmy’s transformation from vulnerable victim to resilient survivor, supported by a mysterious stranger.
Rodriguez also praised the creative vision behind the project. “I love watching vertical movies, and Direk Rommel’s ideas for this film are brilliant. I believe viewers will truly enjoy it.” She adds that Highland Bali’s frequent celebrity and influencer visitors may open even more doors for her growing career.
