Last August 26, 2025, Star Magic once again staged its monthly Spotlight Press Conference, this time featuring no less than Vina Morales. Held at Coffee Project, Wil Tower, Quezon City, the event carried a balance of warmth and depth, with Vina sharing stories that highlighted both her journey and enduring artistry.
In 2023, she broke new ground internationally with her Broadway debut in Here Lies Love—a milestone that showcased her global caliber. This year, she reaches another defining moment as she makes her highly anticipated television comeback in GMA Afternoon Prime’s Cruz vs. Cruz, where she takes on the lead role.
“When they offered me this one, ‘Cruz vs. Cruz’, noong nabasa agad namin ni Ms. Love (her manager), nagandahan kami at hindi namin pinakawalan. It’s a really nice story...” Vina answered when she was asked about why she said yes to the project.
For almost four decades, Vina Morales has remained a testament to lasting artistry. Alongside her acting projects, she continues to share her music on stages both here and abroad. Adding to the excitement, she revealed that she is thinking of releasing new music soon.
“Maybe after ‘Cruz vs. Cruz’. Either you do a single, second single, third single—at most 5 songs. Pero hopefully, next year,” Vina said.
Beyond new projects, she also reflected on the values that allowed her to stay in the industry for decades. “Of course, you have to be talented, but maraming talented in the industry. Ang sa akin, you need to have the right attitude kasi yung longevity makukuha ‘yan if you know how to work with people,” Vina shared.
She further added, “If you know how to reinvent. If you are stuck there, wala ka na mabibigay. Ako, I never stop learning and give my best sa lahat ng projects na binibigay sa akin.”
Vina also opened up about her plans and what she envisions doing next, “I play it by ear. I’m just grateful everyday. Ine-enjoy ko lahat ng projects na binibigay sa akin and I always give my best. I am open to any projects, kahit concert abroad okay sa akin.” Vina also jokingly said, "Pwedeng Broadway? Broadway ulit."
Her journey continues to flourish, reminding audiences that passion, character, and authenticity are the true marks of a timeless artist.
