Pageant circles are abuzz as experts and analysts express strong support for Jayvee Lyn Lorejo to assume the title of Miss Global Philippines 2026. This follows the voluntary resignation of Valerie Pawid West, who previously held the crown after representing Ifugao during the Miss World Philippines coronation last February.
ALV Pageant Circle confirmed that Valerie Pawid West stepped down following an internal review of compliance and organizational obligations. In a public statement, the organization explained that West and her local director were notified of concerns that required action, which led to a change in her status as titleholder. Rather than continue under the revised arrangement, West chose to resign. ALV expressed respect for her decision and announced that the new representative for Miss Global Philippines 2026 will be revealed on June 20. The organization also clarified that no further statements will be made on the matter out of respect for all parties involved.
Attention has since turned to Jayvee Lyn Lorejo, who represented Davao Region in the same Miss World Philippines pageant and originally won the Miss Tourism International Philippines 2026 crown. Many pageant analysts believe Jayvee is the right candidate to step into the role.
The Qrown Philippines highlighted that Miss Global’s standards are rooted in Southeast Asian beauty, emphasizing authenticity and a warm, relatable presence. They noted that Jayvee’s advocacy, the Pangga Project, which focuses on elderly care, is deeply personal and stems from her close relationship with her grandmother. This, they argue, aligns with the purpose and spirit of Miss Global, which seeks titleholders with genuine and meaningful platforms.
Lavinia, from Titas of Pageantry, pointed out Jayvee’s consistent presence and support throughout the Miss World Philippines competition, noting her solid performance and dedication even during uncertain times. Drew Francisco, another pageant analyst, commended Jayvee’s stage presence, fast-track performances, and readiness to represent the country internationally, also highlighting her commitment to her advocacy.
Jayvee’s journey has been marked by her advocacy for the elderly. Inspired by her grandmother’s sacrifices and unconditional love, she launched the Pangga Project, which brings support, companionship, and livelihood opportunities to senior citizens in Davao. Her approach goes beyond providing material help; she spends time listening to their stories and building lasting relationships, aiming to restore dignity and purpose to those who may feel forgotten.
Other pageant observers, such as Pao Caniamo and Adam Genato, have described Jayvee as embodying the values, grace, and authenticity needed for the Miss Global stage. They also point to her growth, strong communication skills, and ability to inspire hope in others as further reasons she stands out as the right choice.
As the announcement for the new Miss Global Philippines 2026 draws near, Jayvee Lyn Lorejo has emerged as a leading and well-supported candidate. Her sincerity, advocacy work, and consistent performance have made her a favorite among pageant experts and fans alike, reflecting the evolving standards and values of the pageant community.
