McDonald’s Philippines turns up the heat with new Taste of Korea menu and K-inspired experiences

McDonald’s Philippines is bringing a bigger and bolder K-experience to Filipino fans with the launch of its expanded Taste of Korea menu, available starting October 9 at branches nationwide. The new offerings come on the heels of the McSpicy x G-DRAGON collaboration and promise a unique blend of Korean-inspired flavors through limited-time items like the Yangnyeom McSpicy, Yangnyeom Double Cheeseburger, Galbi McShaker Fries, and K-Melon Float.

The latest Taste of Korea launch highlights Filipinos’ growing love for Korean food and culture, offering customers a chance to indulge in sweet, spicy, and savory favorites curated for local palates. McDonald’s Philippines Brand Manager Karl Christian Chua said, “Korean culture continues to unite Pinoys of all ages and groups, especially Korean food and culinary experiences. We’re excited to elevate the heat further on the K-experience with our new Taste of Korea offerings.”

The menu’s signature Yangnyeom sauce gives both the McSpicy and Double Cheeseburger a creamy, spicy, and distinctly Korean twist. Fans can also enjoy Galbi McShaker Fries, seasoned with smoky and slightly sweet galbi-inspired flavoring, and the K-Melon Float—a Sprite-based dessert drink that recalls the taste of Melona, a popular South Korean ice cream.

These new items build on the momentum of previous K-themed menus and collaborations, which have proven to be a hit among Filipino diners. “The buzz we’ve seen around the recent McSpicy x G-DRAGON collaboration, as well as our Taste of Korea and Flavors of Asia menus in 2021 and 2022, shows how strong Pinoys’ affinity is towards all things Korean," Chua noted.

Beyond the menu, McDonald’s is premiering a new microdrama entitled “The Plus One.” The lighthearted series follows three friends who dream of visiting Korea, with one winning a trip and facing the dilemma of whom to bring along. The show aims to further bridge Filipinos’ fascination with K-dramas and Korean food culture.

To make the K-experience even more accessible, McDonald’s is offering exclusive McDo App deals: a Yangnyeom McSpicy with a free large Sprite for P199 and a Yangnyeom Double Cheeseburger with a free large Sprite for P169. These promotions offer fans a chance to try the new flavors at a value price.

Customers can enjoy the Taste of Korea menu for dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, or delivery via the McDonald’s Delivery App and third-party platforms, ensuring convenient access to the limited-time lineup.

With the launch of its expanded Korean-inspired menu and creative promotions, McDonald’s Philippines continues its tradition of tapping into global food trends while catering to local tastes. The company invites customers to experience “Annyeongsarap!” and discover new favorites with every bite.
