ELLE Philippines to debut under House of Yugen and Lagardère partnership

House of Yugen has announced the upcoming launch of ELLE Philippines, following a licensing agreement with Lagardère Group, the global owner of the ELLE brand. With its release, the nation will join a global network of more than 100 ELLE editions, as the world’s leading female media brand expands its reach to Filipino audiences. Josh Yugen will serve as President and Ian Borromeo as CEO and Publisher.

The new English-language publication will debut both in print and on digital platforms, including the ELLE.ph website and social media, with digital activities rolling out alongside the inaugural issue. With a global audience of 260 million, ELLE aims to connect with contemporary Filipina women through content that reflects their style, perspective, and ambitions.

ELLE Philippines promises to be a unique blend of international fashion heritage and distinct Philippine identity. Featuring established leaders and emerging voices from within the local fashion, beauty, culture, society, and lifestyle scenes, the magazine will showcase Filipino creativity and encourage contributions from designers, writers, artists, and entrepreneurs.

“Our designers, photographers, artists, and emerging creatives deserve opportunities for their work to be seen internationally. I want this new chapter to help open those doors,” said Josh Yugen. Borromeo added, “ELLE Philippines should belong to everyone. It should celebrate where we come from, discover where we are going, and give Filipino creativity the platform it deserves on the world stage.”

A Manila launch celebration is currently in the works, with further announcements on editorial and creative leadership expected soon.

Josh Yugen, founder of XPEDITION Magazine and head of Yugen PR, brings experience in journalism and communications across continents, with a track record of connecting Asian and global audiences. Ian Borromeo, drawing from his work at House of Yugen, will oversee ELLE’s business strategy, operations, and commercial partnerships in the Philippines.

Global support from ELLE International will provide the local team with editorial resources and business development expertise, ensuring the Philippine edition’s quality and market relevance.

With the launch, ELLE Philippines aims to become the country’s premier fashion and lifestyle media brand, shining a spotlight on Filipino talent while serving as a bridge between local creativity and the international stage.
