Lido Cocina Tsina marked its 90th anniversary with the grand opening of its new restaurant along Circumferential Road in Antipolo, Rizal, welcoming local officials, loyal patrons, and the community to the milestone event.
Founded in Binondo in 1936, Lido Cocina Tsina has become a staple for authentic Chinese cuisine in the Philippines. The Antipolo branch signals the brand’s continued evolution, blending modern design with longstanding traditions and introducing special menu items to celebrate its legacy and serve a new generation of diners.
The opening ceremony brought together Lido owners Annie Wong and Mark Wu, Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares, and several city councilors for a formal ribbon-cutting, highlighting the restaurant’s significance to both the brand and the local community.
Festivities included a traditional Lion Dance, delighting guests and symbolizing good fortune. Attendees also received exclusive Lido premium items in honor of the company’s 90th year.
The new Antipolo location features a spacious, contemporary design while retaining the warm and welcoming atmosphere that regular customers have come to expect from Lido.
A dedicated function room offers families and groups a venue for birthdays, reunions, and other gatherings, reinforcing Lido’s commitment to being a place for celebrations and memorable moments.
“Celebrating 90 years is both an opportunity to honor where Lido came from and to look forward to where we are going,” said Annie Wong, president of Lido Cocina Tsina. “Opening in Antipolo allows us to welcome another community to the Lido family while continuing to evolve for a new generation of customers.”
In a nod to Antipolo’s famed cashew tradition, the branch introduced a limited-edition Sichuan shrimp with cashew nuts, available alongside classic favorites like their signature pugon-roasted asado.
The Antipolo opening continues Lido’s year-long anniversary celebrations, which have included events with longtime customers at various branches, reflecting the deep ties the brand has fostered with Filipino families.
“As we celebrate this milestone, what remains most important to us is continuing the relationship Lido has built with families through the years,” Wong added, emphasizing the brand’s enduring commitment to community and tradition.
