New P-Pop girl group Oona formally debuts under Aguila and Islah Entertainment

Aguila Entertainment and Islah Entertainment have officially launched their first P-Pop girl group, Oona, introducing the five-member ensemble at a media event titled "Unang Tingin: The Debut" held Friday, July 31, at Matrix Creations Events Venue in Quezon City. The group, comprised of Isaki Bautista, Coleen Trinidad, Jaylou Felciano, Karyss "Kar" Asio, and Julia "Bella" Patillas, aims to make their mark on the local music scene with their carrier single, “Darama.”

The launch marks a significant step for both entertainment companies. Aguila Entertainment CEO Katrina Aguila shared, “For over two decades, Aguila Entertainment built and sustained the careers of some of the country's sought-after actors. So it is just as exciting for us to venture into music, particularly the P-Pop scene, and drive the careers of these extremely talented individuals.”

Islah Entertainment President Mayette Acuna echoed the excitement, noting the group’s perseverance: “We are very proud to finally present Oona after a year of intense training and preparations. These girls worked so hard, tried so many times, but never gave up.

Prior to their formal debut, Oona had already caught attention online with their performances and the release of “Darama,” a single the group co-wrote. The group also made their television debut on GMA’s All Out Sundays, performing alongside established P-Pop acts.

Oona’s members expressed gratitude for their journey. Group leader Isaki shared, “We’ve been rejected so many times, but we know in our hearts that this is something that we really want to do, so we kept on trying and trying. Now, here we are finally debuting as Oona.” Bella added, “Our sincerest appreciation to management, coaches, and our glam team for believing in us and not giving up on us.”

Coleen highlighted the group’s unity: “We were each other’s strength and motivation to keep working hard to achieve our common goal, which is to finally take our spot in the industry.”

During the launch, Oona delighted over a hundred fans with the debut performance of their new single, “Unang Tingin,” a song about not judging by first impressions. “We hope anyone who listens to this song feels empowered and confident with who they are—something Oona very much stands for,” said Jaylou.

The group brings together members with diverse backgrounds: Coleen and Isaki are former MNL48 members; Jaylou found popularity on TikTok for her dance covers, while Bella and Kari bring their own performance experience to the group.
