Three remarkable women from last year’s Miss Universe pageant—China’s Na Zhao, India’s Manika Vishwakarma, and Türkiye's Ceren Arslan—recently landed in the Philippines, bringing with them not just their sashes but also stories of hope, friendship, and empowerment. Their visit, made possible by PlayTime Entertainment, was timed perfectly for Women’s Month and featured outreach activities that highlight the spirit of global sisterhood.
For Manika, the Philippines has been a welcoming and heartwarming destination. “The Philippines has been great. I was very happy enough that I wanted to stay and visit around,” she shared, her eyes gleaming with excitement for what the country has to offer.
Ceren, experiencing the Philippines for the first time, couldn’t contain her joy. “The first time I heard the invitation from PlayTime, I was so excited because this is the first time in the Philippines and I like exploring new countries and new people. When I came here, I saw people with their beautiful smiling faces so it’s great so far,” she said. Na Zhao, on the other hand, already had fond memories of the country, having previously explored the beautiful island of Bohol with friends.
Their itinerary with PlayTime was both fun and meaningful. From meeting the founder to joining a lively live session where they interacted with fans, answered questions, and shared gifts, every moment was filled with laughter and authentic connections. “It was entertaining and fun. We’re having so much fun and I’m sure there will be more. I want to return here and do more,” Ceren said with a smile.
Reflecting on their Miss Universe journeys, each delegate shared how the experience shaped them. Manika, who was among the Top 30 semi-finalists and upheld India’s impressive placement streak, spoke fondly about the friendships and the daily inspiration she drew from her fellow contestants. “We were like sisters and each girl had her own dreams. Now I get to inspire other girls and see those dreams in their eyes. That’s the best part,” she said.
Ceren, who won Miss Congeniality, echoed the sentiment, “We have such beautiful memories that I’ll never forget. Representing my country and forming true friendships are the best experiences. There’s nothing negative to look back on—only stories to share for a lifetime.”
Na Zhao, who placed in the Top 12 and was named Miss Universe Asia, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she received. “At first, only a few people knew me, but with more support from fans and the media, I felt so grateful,” she said.
As for their stay in the Philippines, the three women look forward to discovering more. From trying local food and music to learning about Filipino culture and meeting Miss Universe Philippines contestants, every day brings new reasons to celebrate diversity and unity.
Their visit isn’t just about glitz and glamour—it’s about building bridges, sharing dreams, and empowering women everywhere. As these three remarkable women embrace the warmth of the Philippines, their stories remind us that beauty, strength, and friendship know no borders.
